The snowstorm left a beautiful feast for our eyes. Bright sunshine and moderate temperatures made the setting right for playing outside. First, a couple of pictures of snow unspoiled by the romp of little foot prints.
This is our big pine tree in the circle loop of the drive. It is a nice contrast to the brilliant white snow.
The hill in front of the house was a perfect and a uniform blanket until.....
..... until blazing sleds from giddy young 'uns glide down the hill. Even though the snow was beautiful, there is another kind of beauty in seeing little tracks.
Even good ol' Ma got in on the fun. Her favorite (and the Boy's least favorite) is the saucer sled.
Finally, a little rest. Go sit on a block of ice to cool your jets.
After everybody had their fill of sledding, saucering, and snowballing, I got to go play. Here is the recently acquired Model 49 snowblower on the John Deere 316. This unit can blow snow about 20 feet!
